'Yoga puts into perspective what words cannot.'
I'm Lauren, the joy seeking yogi..I'm a deep breathing, tree hugging individual who looks for the silly magic in everyday.
Anyone who knows me would describe me as joyful and those who've just met me would probably assume I'm on drugs but no no, I just adore this human experience called life. Movement runs through the smallest fibres in my body, as the daughter of a dancer and an ex-dancer myself my natural rhythm is free flowing and unstoppable. Trust me, once I tried! A wriggler since day one I've always been on the move but where to? Well.. to you! To me Yoga is physically, mentally and emotionally enlightening but must also be lighthearted, fun and freeing. In my classes you can expect to move rhythmically, laugh frequently and settle peacefully. I strive to bring you a sense of peace within a loving community, a space to explore, laugh and rest. How many Yoga classes have you done? It doesn't matter.. You are welcome and I can't wait to embrace you. |
What style of Yoga do you teach?
Over the last seven years my teaching has evolved into a form of Hatha Yoga known as Anusara Yoga with a big focus on finding the happiness in the everyday. My classes are lighthearted and inclusive, enabling all practitioners to enjoy the practice whether vastly experienced or complete beginners. In 2018 I trained in Aerial Yoga, a style of yoga that is as fun as it is challenging and run both weekly & monthly classes for all to try. My Classes always include the traditional elements of Meditation, Pranayama, Asana and Savasana. |
Truth nuggets..
Spring is my favourite season and I began Yoga in the spring of my life, age 16 - a spark of joy filled me. It weaved in and out of my life until I travelled to India in 2014 to complete my first Yoga Teacher Training.
|
I LOVE travel and have been to every continent on the planet (minus Antarctica). My heart pulls me East to Asia & Australasia for its calm outlook and ancient traditions interwoven throughout culture and society.
|
I trained as a professional dancer, something you'll hopefully come to know & love about my classes is their fluid, free-flowing dance-y quality.
I majored in Modern Contemporary dance at London Studio Centre. |
One of my main loves in life and literature is Mythology, specifically Greek, Norse & Hindu. Mythology has always been human kind's way of making sense of the world and just because it's ancient doesn't make it obsolete.

What do my yogi's have to say?
Julia Coombes:
"Lauren is a very conscientious instructor who intuitively meets the needs of her clients. Classes are well structured with emphasis on pranayama, alignment and release. Her delightful personality shines through her precise instruction. This creates a very enjoyable session. Lauren also provides a strong sense that everyone is being cared for throughout each session. Highly recommended. Namaste!" |
Jennie Smith:
"If you are looking for a yoga teacher, look no further - you won't find better than Lauren. Her friendly, calm and gentle approach creates a beautiful environment in which to practice and her knowledge is vast and authentic. Go book yourself into one of her classes; you'll be sorry you didn't do it sooner!" |
Michele Neubert:
"Lauren is one of the lovleist spirits I've come accross, her teaching both thorough and gentle, with the voice of an angel. Thanks to her I was able to not only reconnect with yoga and all it's benefits but begin to open up and start to relax for the first time in decades. She was extremely patient, understanding and knowledgable of her craft and always there to answer my questions." |
Russell Streeter:
"I went to a private class with Lauren, at a quiet location in a bright and relaxing space. This was my first time doing Yoga but Lauren is very knowledgeable and very patient, and she explains and demonstrates each move in a way that makes it easy to follow. I would highly recommend her classes, whether you're experienced or a beginner." |
