Have you ever noticed that your body is more naturally flexible?
That where flexibility lives in your body, so too does instability? Does your mind tell you to push beyond the physical boundary? I spent most of my teenage years taking pride in the fact that I could do the splits with ease, could bend myself into a pretzel shape on demand and could always gross people out with my bodies amazing yet strange ways. But this is hypermobility at its worst. After all, just because you can, doesn't mean you should and yoga was the start of my long, healing journey to reconnect with what my body needed and not what I wanted. If you've ever felt this and would love to learn the ways in which a healthy yoga practice can monitor, aid and assist you in finding a stronger connection to your body, I'm here. I'd love to invite you to this morning workshop to give you the tools you need to harmonise flexibility with strength. |
What do I need?As always you'll need your yoga mat.
Please wear warm, comfortable and layered clothing you can move freely in. A blanket is a GREAT idea. I'll bring any other specific props you'll need. Tea and cake will be served after class while we have a chat about our findings. |
ItineraryThis workshop will encompass a short opening chat about what hyper mobility is and how it may be present within your body.
We'll then move on to an in depth dive to yoga practices than can aid you in the continuation of your journey. And finally we'll enjoy some tea and cake. |
Where?This workshop will take place at Bursledon Village Hall for it's central location, warm and inviting hall and easy parking.
