Immersive Summer Solstice Retreat
'Your light will never be extinguished if you do what you love.'
Wednesday 21st - Sunday 25th June 2023
Avid yogi, we see you..
You LOVE your yoga, it's more a part of who you are than something you simply just 'do' right? The petals of yoga continue to unfurl as you journey your way through life to illuminate and uplift your way of life. If immersing in the further study is something you long to do Laura and I would love to invite you to join us for an exploratory week full of the wonders of yoga.
Join Senior Yoga Teacher Laura Green and myself as we harness the potent energy of The Summer Solstice during this immersive retreat. Dive deeper into the ancient teachings of yoga, connect to the subtle body and elevate your personal practice.
Combine ancient teachings of philosophy, history, mythology and culture with contemporary movement practices, somatics nervous system regulation, the alchemy of touch and so much more.
You'll journey deeper into yourself, your yoga and your spiritual practice as well as being enveloped in the rolling Devon countryside.
Do you desire to step more fully into your light?
To become more of you?
To become more of you?
Our retreat takes place over the days following the summer solstice, an abundant time to expand your knowledge for this ancient practice. We'll harness the light, bright, creative energy of the sun to inspire us through creative sequencing, meditation, mythology, history, mantra, kirtan, nervous system regulation, honing our voice and language, the subtle body and honouring our place as embodied leaders!
We'll also enjoy a complimentary practice of watercolour well-being led by the brilliant Lisa, of Iris Hill Art & Yoga. Her creative energy will spark an afternoon of intuitive movement.
Philosophy & Culture
Over the retreat we'll delve into the myriad of ways you can interweave and honour the vast roots of yoga.
The History of Yoga (including the impact of Colonialism) and work to evolve and improve our own understanding and teaching.
The evenings will include supplementary practices like: The Bhagavad Gita and it's teachings to empower you as a teacher and spiritual seeker. Exploring the key concepts within the Gita of Dharma, Karma, The Paths of Yoga and the Gunas as well as a Kirtan to celebrate the mythological roots of yoga.
Skills for your Teaching
Explore mindful, heartfelt touch as a way to support your practice and experience how to touch not just the physical body, but also the emotional and spiritual body. Explore a new way to communicate kind-hearted adjustments, layered pose options, inclusive language, intuitive movements, energy releases, blissful savasana massage and manual pose assists.
If your joining this retreat as a teacher we'll also consider your marketing, your business and your brand and how this aligns with your soul's purpose. Ensuring your students see the wise teacher you are.
