Welcome Avid Yoga Teacher..
I LOVE learning about the world, the human body and the etherial through the lens of yoga. Our bodies and our experience are the first gateway to this universal unfurling. This winter, step into a series of three continued professional development workshops designed for yoga teachers who want to expand their toolkits and inspire their students with fresh, practical techniques. Over three sessions, you’ll discover how everyday props can transform practice:
This is not just about props - it’s about perspective. A chance to reawaken curiosity, renew your own practice, and share the spark with your students. |
What to Expect..
Ever 3 months we'll meet on a Saturday Morning to uncover
|
Month 1:
We'll delve into the world of deep physical relaxation through the use of a tennis ball. Understanding our bodies anatomy through the lens of fascia, we'll release deep tension. This always works well as an addition to a regular restorative class, as a workshop, or just as a more indulgent weekly class. |
Month 2:
Āsana is always at the forefront of modern yoga, but can a prop connect us more with our prānā? I think so, pilates balls may not be a traditional yoga prop, but they are my personal favourite. Whether we challenge physically to deepen lung capacity or languish like the princess and the pea, the pilates ball has got us! |
Month 3:
Resistance bands are a game-changer in my personal practice. As a hyper-mobile yogi, I understand the importance of restraint, control and anatomical connection. This practice will give you the tools to help your hyper-mobile students but will also bring a freeing sensation for those who aren't hyper-mobile. |
Each practice will include a practice for you to feel the benefits, then we'll go on to understand it intellectually. We'll have seated time in conversation and writing too.
"Lauren's classes are a very special, therapeutic time to pause and reflect amidst the busy-ness of life. I'd highly recommend them and can't believe how the times whizzes by!"
