Welcome Avid Yogi..

Some bodies move like water. They flow easily into depth, shape, and range. But beneath that ease, there can be a quiet question… where is the support?

Hyper-mobility is often misunderstood in yoga spaces. It can be praised as flexibility, or overlooked entirely. Yet without the right awareness, it can lead to instability, fatigue, or injury over time.

This CPD is an invitation to look again.
To move beyond the idea of “more stretch” and into something more informed.

Across two focused workshops, we’ll explore how to support hyper-mobile bodies from the inside out. Beginning with the architecture of the skeleton, then moving into the responsiveness of the muscles, we’ll build a clear and practical understanding of stability, strength, and sustainable movement.
This is not about restricting movement; it’s about refining it.

You’ll leave with tools you can immediately bring into your teaching and your own practice. Tools that help you recognise when to stabilise, to mobilise, to strengthen and stretch and how to guide others with confidence rather than guesswork.

What to Expect..

Each 2-hour deep-dive will include..

Workshop 1: Skeletal Intelligence

Stability & Mobility through the Bones
We begin with the body’s framework. Understanding how the skeleton creates both structure and potential movement.

- Joint structure and range of motion
- What hyper-mobility looks like in the skeleton
- Stability vs mobility. When each is needed
- How to cue for integrity rather than depth

The skeleton is not rigid. It is a living, responsive structure that determines how movement unfolds. When joints have a greater range than they can safely control, the body often compensates in subtle ways. This is where awareness becomes essential.
Workshop 2: Muscular Support

Strength & Flexibility in Balance
We build on the skeletal understanding by exploring how muscles support, stabilise, and respond.

-
Strength in hypermobile bodies
- Rethinking flexibility
- Co-contraction and muscular support
- Practical ways to build resilience in practice

Muscles are not just there to stretch. They are there to stabilise, to respond, and to create integrity within movement.
In hyper-mobile bodies, strength often needs to be cultivated in a very specific way. Not through force, but through awareness, pacing, and intelligent engagement.
Each practice will include a practice for you to feel the benefits, then we'll go on to understand it intellectually. We'll have seated time in conversation and writing too.
