Lauren's journey to you..
'Yoga puts into perspective what words cannot.'
I'm Lauren, the joy seeking yogi..Lauren Gray Yoga was founded from a deep rooted desire to cultivate joy, laughter and curiosity through the wondrous art of yoga and meditation.
Movement has always been a core part of my life. Before embracing the beauty of yoga, I was a professional dancer; so, flowing within the splendor of lyrical movement was my second heartbeat. I see it as a way to not only escape the noise and pace of modern life, but also to dive inwards. To dig in my roots, while allowing my branches to wander free. My passion in life is to share this feeling with as many people as possible. And while dance will always hold a special place in my heart, I know my life's calling: yoga. I wish you to know that yoga is not just an hourly moment in your week, it’s a way of life; a state of mind that goes far beyond the yoga mat. Because I truly believe that yoga gives us the permission to unlock a soulful life. We inhale curiosity, and exhale limitations. We reach out a hand and take hold of new ways of thinking... new ways of being. Through classes, workshops, trainings and retreats, I strive to encourage my beautiful community to sense to the magic all around them. To connect with their fellow flames and be a part of a nourishing sphere of introspection and unearthing. I want them to feel deeply and laugh wholeheartedly. You could say I dance to the beat of my own drum. I love nothing more than quenching my own inquisitive nature through my work. From mythical goddesses to the power of the moon, I can’t help but weave in elements of alchemy into my teaching. And therein lies my dream: to show you - the soul searcher and curious mind - how to reconnect with your truth and hold it close in the tightest embrace. To expand your energy and harness your heart. Dear friend, will you join me? |
What style of Yoga do you teach?
Over the last nine years my teaching has evolved and is closest to Anusara Elements. 'Anusara' meaning 'to flow with grace' embodies the ever present flow style of movement that captures my heart. I'm always inspired by the natural elements and all elements that make up yoga: movement, meditation, pranayama and meditation. My classes include spiritual elements and mythological storytelling, with a big focus on finding the joy in the everyday. My classes are lighthearted and inclusive, enabling all to enjoy their practice whether vastly experienced or complete beginners. |
Truth nuggets..
Spring is my favourite season, I was born on a Spring full moon and I began Yoga in the spring of my life, aged 15 - a spark of joy filled me. It weaved in and out of my life until I travelled to India in the Spring of 2014 to complete my first Yoga Training.

I LOVE travel and have been to every continent on the planet (minus Antarctica). My heart pulls me East to Asia & Oceania for its calm outlook and ancient traditions interwoven throughout their cultures, cuisine, mythology and society.

I trained as a dancer, something you'll hopefully come to know & love about my classes is their fluid, free-flowing dance-y quality. I majored in Modern Contemporary dance at London Studio Centre and performed professionally.

One of my main loves in life and literature is Mythology, specifically Greek, Norse & Hindu. Mythology has always been human kind's way of making sense of the world and just because it's ancient doesn't make it obsolete. And you need bedtime sorties too!
