Lauren's Journey to YOU!
"Yoga puts into perspective what words cannot."
I'm Lauren, the joy seeking yogi..Lauren Gray Yoga was born from a deep-rooted desire to remember, to return to joy, wisdom, curiosity, and the sacred through the art of movement & meditation.
Movement has always been my second heartbeat. Before stepping into the rhythm of yoga, I trained and performed as a professional dancer, flowing within the lyrical beauty of the body. But it was yoga that taught me how to move with the soul. Dance taught me to soar - yoga taught me to root. In every practice, I feel myself diving inward like water, grounding like earth, and radiating like the sun. I move in rhythm with the natural world: the solar cycles, the lunar tides, and the quiet whisper of the unseen. These elemental rhythms are not metaphorical to me; they are living teachers. Rooted in non-dual philosophy, inspired by the spiritual traditions of India & Greece, both deeply reverent of myth, ritual, and sacred movement, my teaching weaves together story, ceremony, and flow. I don’t believe yoga ends at the mat. It is a way of moving through life with breath, awareness, and wonder. We inhale curiosity, exhale limitation. We reach inward and expand outward, embracing both the mystery and the magical mundane. Through my classes, retreats, events, and trainings, I invite you into a space where movement becomes prayer, myth becomes mirror, and the body becomes a temple of remembrance. A space to feel deeply, laugh wholeheartedly, and walk the spiral path home to yourself. Whether you are a quiet light or a bold flame - this is a space for you. Joy beam, will you join me? |

Spring is my favourite season, I was born on a Spring full moon and I began Yoga in the spring of my life, aged 16 - a spark of joy filled me. It weaved in and out of my life until I travelled to India in the Spring of 2014 to complete my first Yoga Training.
|
I trained as a dancer, something you'll hopefully come to know & love about my classes is their fluid, free-flowing dance-y quality. I majored in Modern Contemporary dance at London Studio Centre and performed professionally.
|
I LOVE travel and have been to every continent on the planet (minus Antarctica). My heart pulls me East to Asia & Oceania for its calm outlook and ancient traditions interwoven throughout their cultures, cuisine, mythology and society.
|
One of my main loves in life and literature is Mythology, specifically Greek, Hindu & Norse. Mythology has always been human kind's way of making sense of the world and just because it's ancient doesn't make it obsolete. And you need bedtime sorties too!

"Lauren is one of the lovleist spirits I've come accross, her teaching both thorough and gentle, with the voice of an angel. Thanks to her I was able to not only reconnect with yoga and all it's benefits but begin to open up and start to relax for the first time in decades. She was extremely patient, understanding & knowledgable of her craft and always there to answer my questions."
